BioGas Corp Projects
The BGC team began its involvement as engineering experts when it prepared a dismantling and reinstallation plan to move an existing pilot scale AD facility from Stanton, CA to Clinton, NC in 2002. The engineering team assisted with the operation and expansion of the Clinton facility through 2006 when it acquired the majority control of this operation and subsequently expanded its biogas project development activities to opportunities around the country. The operation of the Clinton facility continued through 2010 where a wide range of feedstock was processed including:
- Food waste from Fort Bragg Army base
- Swine manure from hog farming operations in NC, and
- Pork packaging waste from Smithfield Foods.
Since then 9 projects were added to the development pipeline and are currently in different stages of development or operation. Of these 6 projects located in NC, RI, WA, NY, and CA were developed as food waste to electricity production, 2 as dairy waste to renewable natural gas (RNG) production, and 1 project as a poultry waste to electricity production. BGC has exited out of 6 of the projects and is continuing the development of 3 others.
